Lander university Film Festival 

Since its debut in 2010, the Lander Film Festival has drawn an enthusiastic following of those interested in writing, directing, producing or just watching films. The annual event features a popular Short Film Competition as well as events such as an introduction to classic silent films and discussions of documentary and feature films. Guest artist Craig Titley, screenwriter for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning ThiefStar Wars: Clone WarsCheaper by the Dozen, and Scooby-Doo, has made annual appearances at the festival, bringing along fellow Hollywood screenwriters to share their knowledge and inspire a new generation.

1st place 2016

Taylor Wilcox, of Blythewood, won first place in the College Division for “The Shop Feud,” which featured an original score by Greenwood resident Kevin Baggett.

Daniel Hudson, of Irmo, won second place for “Something’s Fishy.”
